Ovation Appoints Oscar Ordaz Director of Distribution

Santa Monica, CA – August 16, 2011  -- Ovation, the only television network dedicated to arts culture, has appointed Oscar Ordaz, Director of Distribution.  In his new role with the network, Mr. Ordaz is responsible for overall subscriber growth, as well as the expansion of Ovation’s HD and VOD services.  He will report to Dan Casciato, VP of National Accounts at Ovation, and be based In Austin, TX.

Mr. Ordaz brings sixteen years of experience in cable distribution to Ovation, including his tenure as director of sales, distribution and marketing at Univision Communications, where he was responsible for an 18-state/18-broadcast station and network markets (Univision, Telefutura and Galavision Network).

Prior to Univision, Mr. Ordaz was with NBC Universal where he worked with the Telemundo and mun2 network teams.  At International Music Feed (IMF), owned by Universal Music Group, he helped grow network distribution to 9 million within the Eastern region and international markets.

Previously, Mr. Ordaz was Site Operations Manager for DirecTV’s operation in New Jersey.  Prior to that, he was with USA Networks, serving as the affiliate relations regional manager for USA Network, Syfy, Home Shopping Network, TRIO and International News Network.

 

Mr. Ordaz received a BBA in Management/Marketing from the University of Texas and is an active member of CTAM and NAMIC.
