Ovation HD Launches on Comcast in Freedom Region

Ovation’s HD Channel Now Available to Comcast Customers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania

SANTA MONICA, CA - November 10, 2011 Ovation, the only multi-platform network celebrating all forms of artistic expression, is now available in HD to Comcast Cable subscribers in the Freedom Region, including parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  The announcement was made today by Ellen Schned, SVP, Distribution, Ovation.

“Ovation’s entertaining and  engaging documentaries, films, series and specials are all the more glorious in high definition, as Comcast subscribers in the Freedom Region are about to discover,” said Schned.  “The response to our launch of Ovation HD in the last year has been phenomenal.”

The new launches in the Freedom Region make Ovation HD available on XFINITY TV channel 1345 to subscribers in portions of New Jersey, including Union, Plainfield, Meadowlands, Monmouth, Ocean, Toms Rivers, and Long Beach Island.  In Pennsylvania, the channel has rolled out in Bucks and Montgomery counties. 

Viewers in the Freedom Region are getting Ovation HD just in time to enjoy Ovation’s holiday programming event “The Battle of the Nutcrackers” with co-hosts Nigel Lythgoe and Debbie Allen.  Watching the artistry of five international ballet productions of this holiday gem is even more stunning in 1080i resolution and 5.1 digital surround sound.
