Paula Hayes
A lot of artists talk about combining nature and art, but in the work of Paula Hayes the two are inseparable. Born in 1958, Hayes received her undergraduate degree from Skidmore College and her MFA in sculpture from New York's Parsons School of Design. Through her bird projects, drawings, landscapes, silicone planters, and terrariums, Hayes provides a modern aesthetic for our natural world. She has designed landscapes from New York to Nantucket to Weimar, Germany. Exhibitions of her work have been presented in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Middlebury, New York, as well as in Edinburgh, Scotland; Hamburg and Berlin, Germany; and Valparaiso, Chile. Each aspect of Hayes' creations offers a new balance between the life of nature and the artist's inspiration.
