(2011) DMC: Walk This Way takes an exclusive look at one of the founding members of the most influential group in the history of hip hop, Darryl Mcdaniels. In the 80’s Run DMC was the first new school hip hop group to earn a gold record and to be nominated for a Grammy. MTV named Run DMC “the greatest hip hop artist of all time” and the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. They were the first rap act to chart in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 more than once. Run DMC were first rap artists with gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums, and the first rap act to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone.
