900 Nights: Big Brother and the Holding Company
Nine Hundred Nights is the story of the pivotal 60's Psychedelic rock group Big Brother and the Holding Company. Although they will always be remembered as the band that launched the career of Janis Joplin, Big Brother also occupies a significant place in the history of San Francisco Psychedelia. This documentary follows the band from their formation in 1965, through the arrival of Janis Joplin in mid 1966, their first two albums through Joplin's departure in 1969. Includes classic footage of the band performing live on TV and in concert (including footage from Monterey POP Festival), interviews with the members of the band and their contemporaries along with rarely seen rehearsal and studio performances.
