Gala for Berlin 2008
Berlin rings in the New Year in style. Sir Simon Rattle conducts the Berlin Philharmonic in a rousing performance. Pieces performed include: George Gershwin's Cuban Overture; Summertime from Porgy and Bess; Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, op. 11; Aaron Copland's Old American Songs; and John Adams' 'Short Ride in a Fast Machine.
