Donkey Mill Art Center Will Use Award for Youth Education Programs Throughout the Community<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spectrum announced Donkey Mill Art Center received $10,000 through the 2022-2023 Stand For The Arts Awards, a partnership with Ovation TV that recognizes local arts, cultural and educational organizations, and programs. Since the initiative started in 2017, Ovation TV and Spectrum have given out 60 awards totaling $600,000 towards arts education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur partnership with Ovation TV will enable these organizations to continue to serve as vital arts and cultural resources in their communities \u2013 which complements our focus on investing in and strengthening the towns and cities we serve,\u201d said Adam Falk, Senior Vice President, State Government Affairs for Charter Communications, Inc., which operates the Spectrum brand of Internet, TV, Mobile and Voice services. \u201cWe congratulate this year\u2019s Stand For The Arts honoree Donkey Mill Art Center for its commitment to supporting Holualoa artists and expanding access to high-quality arts education, exhibits, and community events.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donkey Mill Art Center will use its 2022-2023 Stand For The Arts funding to provide art education and experiences in local schools, and throughout the community. The Center offers classes, workshops, and events for artists of all levels and present world-class art and culture exhibits year-round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ovation joined Charter Communications on February 25 to recognize and award Donkey Mill Art Center $10,000 for the Arts Awards during their annual fundraising event. The event featured Spectrum and Ovation executives and special guests.  In addition, local officials including Senator Dru Kanuha, State Rep. Jeann\u00e9 Kapela, State Rep. Kirstin Kahaloa, Mayor Mitch Roth, and County Councilmember Rebecca Villegas supported the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonkey Mill Art Center is honored to be one of the recipients of a Stand For The Arts Award once again,\u201d said Ashley Raymond, Interim Executive Director. \u201cIt is a testament to Ovation TV\u2019s and Charter Communication\u2019s progressive pulse on community engagement and the power of small organizations to rapidly respond to community needs at a ground-level, accessible scale. This award will directly support our ability to integrate arts and culture in community wellbeing through our Youth Education programs on campus and in area schools.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donkey Mill is one of 10 organizations receiving support in Spectrum markets across the country. Select arts organizations are awarded $10,000 Stand For The Arts contributions based on the following criteria: support of creatives and artists via community-driven programming; as advocates for equity and access to the arts; and for providing accessible spaces for creative expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
