Greenville, S.C.:\u00a0<\/b>Ovation, America\u2019s only arts network, will join Spectrum to recognize and award the South Carolina Governor\u2019s School for the Arts & Humanities $10,000 as part of their Stand for the Arts <\/i>joint initiative, which is dedicated to supporting local arts, cultural and educational organizations.<\/p>\n
Representatives from Ovation and Spectrum will cohost the event, Tuesday, October 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Greenville One Center located at 1 N. Main St. in Greenville.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have partnered with Spectrum to recognize the Governor\u2019s School and their outstanding work both as a highly creative arts organization and a key contributor to the community and the local economy,\u201d said Sol Doten, V.P., Content Distribution and Marketing, Ovation. \u201cSpectrum has been a great partner and supporter of Ovation and we are extremely pleased that they have joined us for our Stand for the Arts <\/i>Awards program.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re proud to stand with Ovation to salute the Governor\u2019s School for its innovative programming,\u201d said Ben Breazeale, Charter\u2019s Sr. Director of Government Affairs. \u201cAll of this year\u2019s Stand for the Arts <\/i>Awards honorees truly enrich the communities they serve across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
In addition, Spectrum will also run public service announcements to highlight its Stand for the Arts <\/i>partnership with Ovation and reinforce the value local arts organizations bring to communities across the country.<\/p>\n
Grant recipients were chosen based on three criteria: their level of community outreach and engagement, their ability to create inclusive access to artistic programming and their innovative approach to arts education and skills development.<\/p>\n
