OVATION TV CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2023 WITH WEEK-DAY MORNING LINEAR PROGRAMMING, INCLUDING NETWORK PREMIERES, AND A CURATED ON-DEMAND LINEUP OF FILMS, DOCS, & SERIES

For 2023’s Black History Month, Ovation TV, America’s premier arts network, recognizes Black artists and artistry across all mediums through week-day morning linear programming and in curated on-demand lineups in Ovation NOW destinations Arthouse and Celebrating Black History Month. Titles will be available starting on Wednesday, February 1st.

Every weekday morning starting at 6 am ET, Ovation will air a specially curated lineup of programming celebrating Black artists and their artistry. A select number of titles are Ovation network premieres, including episodes of The Directors (Antoine Fuqua, John Singleton), Off Camera (Chadwick Boseman, Common, Keegan-Michael Key, Octavia Spencer, Regina Hall, Uzo Aduba), and Stars of the Silver Screen (Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Samuel L. Jackson); the documentary Morgan Freeman: Breaking Barriers; and the films Should’ve Put a Ring on It (2011) and When It Comes Around (2018). Starting on February 1, the arts network also highlights Black artists who have made a significant impact on the national and international stage, with series and films celebrating Art, Black Voices, Music Icons, Empowering Storytelling, and more. All titles below will be available during the month of February, free to all, in the Arthouse and Celebrating Black History Month destinations on the Ovation NOW app. The Ovation NOW app is free to download and is available on Roku, Android, Apple TV, and iOS devices.
