OVATION TV UNLOCKS PREMIUM MYSTERY AND DRAMA CONTENT WITH LAUNCH OF “MYSTERY ALLEY”

The Art of Mystery Proves Successful for the Indie Network

Los Angeles, CA: Based on the recent success of its international mystery titles such as Frankie Drake Mysteries, Murdoch Mysteries, Riviera, Midsomer Murders, The Code, and Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime, Ovation TV, America’s only arts network, expands its commitment to bringing premium mystery and drama content to fans of the genre by creating Mystery Alley, a new linear destination as well as an expanded AVOD service with a deeper content library within the Ovation NOW app.

As an arts network whose mission is to connect the world to all forms of art and artistic expression through diversified programming, Ovation discovered that its viewers appreciate the craft of storytelling; and naturally gravitate to the intricate plots, complex characters, visual style, and cliffhangers that comprise the masterful mysteries found on Ovation.

“We’re thrilled to be launching Mystery Alley for our viewers who clearly crave mysteries. Ovation TV will continue to feature and celebrate the Arts with engaging content that transcends various mediums and genres,” stated Scott Woodward, EVP of Programming and Production, Ovation TV. “Mystery Alley allows us to deliver on our commitment to programming that is artfully made and always satisfying, while unleashing a whole new catalogue of private detectives and whodunnits for our Ovation TV subscribers on-air, as well as with the general public on our digital platforms.”

New titles will be added monthly to Mystery Alley on Ovation NOW, with the goal of tripling content offering by end of year. This content includes both TV series and films such as Midsomer Murders, The Scapegoat (starring Perry Mason’s Matthew Rhys) and Mary Higgins Clark: Pretend You Don’t See Her. The network will also air Mystery Alley titles on Saturday nights with beloved stars Gabriel Byrne, Gillian Anderson, Ben Whishaw, and Dominic West in series like Secret State, The Fall, and The Hour.

Immediately, Mystery Alley programming will be available both on linear, at ovationtv.com/watch, and as a new destination on Ovation’s on-demand streaming app, Ovation NOW, available on digital platforms iOS, Android, Roku, and Amazon Fire. Mystery Alley on Ovation NOW is free to download and can be streamed on phones, tablets, set-top boxes, and connected TVs.
