Ovation TV, America’s premier arts network, is set to air the Peabody Award-winning series The Bridge later this fall. Produced by Shine America and adapted from the Danish-Swedish crime series Bron/BroenThe Bridge is a crime thriller exploring the tensions on the US-Mexico border. The series features an impressive cast, with Oscar® nominee Demián Bichir (A Better Life), Cannes Film Festival Best Actress winner Diane Kruger (In the Fade), Annabeth Gish (BarryMidnight Mass), Ted Levine (Big SkyThe Alienist), and Matthew Lillard (Good GirlsBosch), while showrunner Elwood Reid is currently an executive producer on ABC’s crime drama Big Sky. Ovation TV will begin airing The Bridge on Wednesday, October 12 at 11pm ET.

The first season begins when a dead body is found on the bridge connecting the USA and Mexico, forcing Sonya Cross (Kruger) from El Paso PD to work with her Mexican counterpart, Marco Ruiz (Bichir), to catch a serial killer operating on both sides of the border. Marco understands the slippery politics of Mexican law enforcement and is one of the last good men in the department. He’s charming, but also cunning, and will do whatever it takes to get what he needs. This does not sit well with Sonya, who strictly follows both rules and protocol. The case leads them into a string of murders on the border.

Starting on October 19th, Ovation will then air episodes in three-hour blocks. Descriptions below.

Episode One “Pilot” airs on Wednesday, October 12 at 11pm ET
When a body is found on the bridge connecting El Paso and Juarez, two detectives, one from the United States and one from Mexico, must work together to hunt down a serial killer operating on both sides of the border.

Episode Two “Calaca” airs on Wednesday, October 19 at 11pm ET
Marco and Sonya investigate the body from the bridge. Frye learns that the Killer isn’t done with him. Charlotte makes an unwelcome discovery on her property.

Episode Three “Rio” airs Thursday, October 20 at 12am ET
Sonya and Marco race to track down a prime suspect who could lead them to the lone desert survivor. Charlotte confronts an unexpected visitor determined to keep business as usual.

Episode Four “Maria of the Desert” airs Thursday, October 20 at 1am ET
The clock ticks as Maria’s broadcast continues. Sonya searches for the girl’s location. Against protocol, Marco works a unique ransom angle. A powerful Juarez force crosses the border.

Episode Five “The Beast” airs Wednesday, October 26 at 11pm ET
Sonya and Marco suspect a cover-up. Charlotte goes to Marco for advice. A troubled girl seeks adventure in Juarez. A visitor stops by Linder’s apartment.

Episode Six “ID” airs Thursday, October 27 at 12am ET
Sonya bonds with a key witness from the case. Marco uncovers Sonya and Hank’s past. Charlotte calls on an old friend for help.

Episode Seven “Destino” airs Thursday, October 27 at 1am ET
The EPPD corners their prime suspect. Charlotte questions Ray’s true intentions. Linder crosses the border and takes on his most difficult case yet.

Episode Eight “Vendetta” airs Wednesday, November 2 at 11pm ET
Sonya pursues a cold lead despite Marco’s insistence that it’s a dead end. Charlotte finds out that Ray has jeopardized her ranch.

Episode Nine “The Beetle” airs Thursday, November 3 at 12am ET
Marco reconnects with a friend from his past and races to save his family. Charlotte responds to her biggest threat. Linder reveals his true feelings.

Episode Ten “Old Friends” airs Thursday, November 3 at 1am ET
Sonya and Marco close in on the killer, Charlotte takes drastic measures to protect her ranch, and Frye learns that demons from his past aren’t done with him yet.

Episode Eleven “Take the Ride, Pay the Toll” airs Wednesday, November 9 at 11pm ET
Showdown on the bridge as the Killer reveals his endgame.

Episode Twelve “All About Eva” airs Thursday, November 10 at 12am ET
Sonya uses Linder’s latest problem to repair her relationship with Marco, and Charlotte forms an unlikely alliance.

Episode Thirteen “The Crazy Place” airs Thursday, November 10 at 1am ET
Sonya and Marco search for a missing girl, Charlotte meets someone who knows too much about her new business venture, and Marco makes a decision that could change everything.
