Digital Travel/Lifestyle Channel Now Available on Fire TV, Apple TV, Android, iPhone and iPad Devices
Los Angeles, CA: Continuing the rollout of its digital travel entertainment channel, Ovation is announcing the launch of JOURNY on Fire TV and Apple TV, following last month’s launch on Android and iOS devices, including iPhone, iPad, iPad Pro and iPad Mini. Now owners of Fire TV, Apple TV, Android and iOS mobile devices can access the livestream and video-on-demand service focused on cultural tourism, which includes select Ovation travel-related original series and specials. The announcement was made today by Will Marks, SVP of Business Development and Digital, Ovation.

Chasing the Sun – This series follows adventure-seeker, former Pro surfer and International model Stephen Jake Friedman – the host and creator of successful TV travel show The Blueprint, (Fox Networks), as he sets out on a new adventure. Chasing the Sun is not your typical travel show as it is set in a way that tells a story thorough the People of the country Stephen meets along the way. As the Locals tell their story Stephen uses each experience to rediscover who he is. This series is full of color and beauty which paints the world we live in. We have set this show to stand out from the rest and set a bench mark of why we are all born to explore.
Resilient Cities – This Emmy-nominated series uncovers the underground arts scene in chaotic cities recovering from major traumas: long-term war, political unrest, natural disasters or economic meltdown. Each episode profiles three or four young determined local artists that are using art to impact their city: this is art as a form of protest, as an agent of change and as a display of courage.
Chicks on Boards – This cinematic series journeys into the universe and culture of female rebels on surfboards. Surfing is an expression of freedom. But the seemingly endless freedom between the skies and the waves has clear borders on land. Many of them surf secretly- risking a lot for their passion. The film features six courageous female surfers claiming freedom against all social odds. Through their shared passion, the camera captures unique insight into the surfing girls’ lives among adventure, freedom and borders.
Nintendo Quest: The Most Unofficial and Unauthorized Nintendo Documentary Ever! – In this all-encompassing docuseries on Nintendo, gaming enthusiast Jay Bartlett hits the open road with best friend Rob McCallum in hopes of buying the 678 official retail-licensed Nintendo games for the Nintendo Entertainment System (1985) in 30 days with no online purchases. Along the way Jay and Rob will discuss Nintendo history, landmark games, box art, music, graphics, game play and more.
